Hair care guide
How to prepare for a hair colour consultation
A little preparation helps your stylist understand the result you want and what will work for your hair.
Bring useful references
Save two or three photos that show the colour, tone and placement you like. It also helps to bring examples of what you do not want. Photos are a starting point; your natural colour, texture and condition influence the final plan.
Share your colour history
Tell your stylist about previous permanent colour, henna, highlights, smoothening or other chemical services. An accurate history helps the stylist assess compatibility and decide whether a strand or patch test is appropriate.
Discuss maintenance honestly
Ask how often the colour may need refreshing and what home care is recommended. Choose a result that fits the time and upkeep you are comfortable with.
Before your visit
- Collect clear reference photos
- Note previous colour and chemical services
- Share scalp sensitivities or allergies
- Discuss budget and maintenance
- Allow time for consultation and testing
